Join us for a thought-provoking shiur by Professor Joseph Elkouby, a world-renowned scholar and emeritus professor at the University of Marc Bloch in Strasbourg. His lecture, titled:
"Aimer, craindre, servir Dieu: comment comprendre ces injonctions?"
will explore core concepts of Jewish faith through the lens of philosophy and Hebrew scholarship.
About the Speaker:
Professor Elkouby chaired the Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies from 1998 to 2006. He is an internationally respected expert in Jewish philosophy, Hebrew linguistics, and medieval Hebrew poetry. His acclaimed recent book, Amour et crainte de Dieu dans la pensée du Maharal de Prague, distills over 40 years of deep academic research.
