West Side Sephardic Synagogue is honored to host Dr. Arié Bensemhoun, the Executive Director of ELNET (European Leadership Network)-France for a presentation and conversation on the core issues currently facing the Jewish communities and the State of Israel in Europe, with a special emphasis on France in a year when a crucial presidential election will be held in that country.  

ELNET is the leading European political action organization dedicated to high-level advocacy for the State of Israel’s strategic security interests and to advancing the core democratic values it shares with Europe.  ELNET has engaged with thousands of European policymakers and leaders, bringing them for visits to Israel, and educating and mobilizing them around existential issues affecting Israel and the Diaspora, including the Iran nuclear threat ,the fight against BDS and anti-Semitism, economic relations, and the prevention of funding for terrorist organizations,

Dr. Bensemhoun has led ELNET since 2011.  He is a renowned expert in international relations and Middle Eastern affairs, with a special expertise on the strategic and commercial relationships between Israel and Europe.  Dr. Bensemhoun has, for many years, played a central role in the relations between high-level officials in Israel and Europe, as well as a prominent community and business leader.
