About Rav Aviges: Dayan Rabbi Aviges took the position of Rabbi of the Long Island Sephardic Center in Great Neck, NY, in 2016. Besides being Rabbi & Dayan, Rabbi Aviges wrote and published several books and articles, most notably Nahala Bli Metsarim, Nacha Rouach Eliyahou,and Imrei Ech. He currently studies at Mesivta Tiferes Yerushalayim (MTJ) in Manhattan under the guidance of Rabbi David Feinstein. Rabbi Aviges received in 2000 his Semichat Dayanut with special mention for Chosen Michpat on monetary issues under the guidance of Rav Yehzhel Roth, the Klozenbourger Rav, and received in 1995 his Semichat Harabanut BMJ from the Yeshiva of Lakewood NY, under the guidance of Rav Nathan Meir Wachtofoyel and Rav Malkiel Kotler. He also previously studied at the Gateshead Yeshiva (England), at the Slabodka Yeshiva (Israel), and at the Mercaz Hatorah Yeshiva (France). Rabbi Aviges has been teaching a weekly Torah class in French in Manhattan since 2001.
